Booking, deposits, agreements, and studio operations for independent photographers. One place to run the business side of a creative practice—without a photography-platform subscription.
Clients see real availability, reserve an actual time, accept the session agreement, and pay a secure deposit. The photographer gets a private workspace that keeps bookings, balances, and requests in order.
What it does
A complete booking flow, built carefully
From published availability to a confirmed session, every step is designed to be unambiguous for the client and reliable for the studio.
Real availability, no double-booking
The studio owner publishes exact session slots. Clients pick a real date and time, and an expiring hold protects it while they finish checkout—so two people can never book the same slot.
Secure deposits through Stripe
Clients pay a session deposit through Stripe-hosted Checkout. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by Studio Register. The remaining balance is settled with the studio.
Clear pricing before payment
Every booking shows the package, session price, deposit amount, and remaining balance before any payment step. What the client reviews is exactly what is charged.
Versioned session agreements
Clients review and accept the exact agreement version in effect at booking time. The accepted text is kept immutably with the booking record.
Request-first event coverage
Venue-dependent sessions like birthday and quinceañera coverage start as a request—no payment taken and no date reserved until the studio confirms the details.
A calm owner workspace
A private workspace for the booking queue, availability changes, package catalog, agreement history, and payment-provider status—focused on upcoming work, not vanity metrics.
Payments
How money moves through Studio Register
Payments are simple by design: one deposit per booking, processed by Stripe, with nothing charged until the client completes checkout.
What clients pay for
Photography session bookings: portrait, headshot, senior, quinceañera, and event sessions offered by the studio using Studio Register. Clients pay a deposit at booking; the balance is due to the studio around the session.
How payment works
Payments are processed by Stripe through a secure, Stripe-hosted checkout page created for each individual booking. Studio Register verifies payment through Stripe before confirming a reservation, and Stripe issues the payment receipt.
Cancellations and refunds
Each booking is governed by the session agreement the client reviews and accepts before paying, including its cancellation and refund terms. If a checkout is abandoned or a hold expires, no charge is made.
Status
In development, first studio onboarding
Studio Register is in active development, with its first deployment being configured for an independent Dallas–Fort Worth photography studio. Each deployment serves a single studio, with the booking experience carrying that studio's own brand.
